ABOUT US: Shaun Fuataga
One of the 2 people that inspired my vision for opening this Non profit organisation to help those less fortunate than ourselves to find employment and a better future and career - is Shaun Fuataga (aka my little brother).
He is the first Australian born citizen in our immediate family, he is the only son for Motomoto Fuataga and Sialatua Fuataga and he was born in Melbourne Australia and raised in the East and West Side of Victoria and also in the ACT by 2 loving and hardworking parents Sialatua and Motomoto Fuataga.
My brother grew up with an older sister Sharonna Fuataga Mitchell and a younger sister Larvynia Fuataga and needed a little bit more freedom so he went to America and played American Football in Kahuku Red Raiders and got a contract to play college ball with Pasadena and graduated with his loved ones and family.
He served a voluntary mission for his church for 2 years in Sydney Australia and had leadership roles in his district and returned home with honour. He got married to his eternal companion his beautiful wife Shayden Fuataga and together they have 3 healthy and beautiful and handsome children Kade, Kayson and Amayah. Shaun secured lucrative contracts with the QLD State Government and is a hard working husband and father and still does alot of voluntary and charity work for his church.

ABOUT US: Larvynia Fuataga
One of the 2 people that inspired my vision for opening this Non profit organisation to help those less fortunate than ourselves to find employment and a better future and career - is Attorney at Law Larvynia Fuataga (my little sister).
Our parents Motomoto Fuataga and Sialatua Fuataga are both Samoan born New Zealander Citizens. They migrated to Australia in the 80's with the hope of building a better life for their family. They both became Australian citizens with myself (at the age of 7) in 1991 just before my little brother Shaun Fuataga was born as the very first Australian born citizen in our family. Our parents did not graduate from University, our father did not graduate from High School and our parents worked extremely hard establishing a life in Australia for us 3 children Shaun, Larvynia and myself Sharonna Fuataga Mitchell. Our parents worked for the Government and than moved onto running a small business, this is where my siblings and I learned the true meaning of work ethic.
My sister graduated high school and than went to RMIT where she graduated with her Legal Practice course and than went on to VUT and graduated with her Bachelor of Law degree and was licensed in the Australian Supreme Court as an Australian Attorney on April 19th 2021.
My sister acquired a Family Lawyer contract in her 1st year from getting her license - she practiced under the direction of a Senior Barrister and from that role she was propelled into a more lucrative and more meaningful family law attorney role with West Justice working as a Senior Attorney in their Family Violence and Family Law program. Due to her ongoing success with West Justice Larvynia Fuataga than secured another successful Senior Attorney role with Victoria Legal Aid in their Family Law team.
My sister is the exception - she is living proof that from humble beginnings, your family can be incredibly blessed with a bright future and live the Australian dream, right here in Victoria.
My hope and prayer for our SPEC AUSTRALIA Non Profit Charitable will be that our people unite to build a more successful and prosperous community by offering support with our culture, employment opportunities, further education and training opportunities and to help solidify our reputation for our South Pacific People as hard working, intelligent and talented individuals.

Sharonna Mitchell
& David Mitchell
My family are my true inspiration in starting this journey for SPEC Australia, our non profit organisation aims to support cultural programs and community initiatives aligned with our Association’s cultural objectives and our goal is to enhance economic independence, workforce participation, and social inclusion for South Pacific and multicultural communities through employment/cultural and community focused initiatives.
My parents and I have been helping people acquire employment in the Polynesian community since 1996 and we wanted an opportunity to serve the State that has blessed our family the most.
My parents and I migrated to Australia in the late 80's and we became Australian Citizens in the 90's and my 2 younger siblings are both Australian born citizens.
I have a huge amount of gratitude for this country and the many opportunities and doors and blessings it has opened to my family.
I graduated from Copperfield College in 2002 and made my way to Deakin University for 1 year on scholarship and than started full time employment for the ATO in 2004. I worked for the Australian Federal Government in Victoria and the ACT until 2010. I than travelled to USA to study Bachelor of Accounting and instead I got married, to my only husband David Mitchell. This experience catapulted my career in the Finance sector and allowed me to work for Wells Fargo, AMEX, Capital One Bank, Comcast and Guardian Life in the USA.
David and I got married in 2011 Salt Lake City Utah. My husband is a qualified electrician and worked on the US naval ships prior to us getting married. He has an electrical degree from ICC. On the first week of getting married we walked together to purchase our first car. We were fortunate to meet many South Pacific Islanders in Utah and ate alot of Islander food, my favourite was Moki's and LOL Chicken. David is our current Treasurer and has been instrumental in helping me get SPEC Australia established. He was in our first Founders meeting and was really supportive in helping me form this non profit organisation.
My husband and I have been fortunate enough to provide support to those in need and in searching for employment opportunities. I was able to create a few resumes and forwarded many job opportunities to my relatives, work colleagues and church friends.
My family and I have helped people with employment opportunities, accessing government services, acquiring community support, accessing business services and registrations, immigration paperwork, citizenship application support and tax file number and ABN applications. My family and I have done this as a community service but have never pursued this as a business due to our individual pursuits and our own personal and professional commitments.
I have a strong testimony of our Saviour Jesus Christ and therefore wanted to establish this as a non profit cultural organisation to enable us the opportunity to continue serving our South Pacific communities, by utilising additional support and services and to branch out further and to reach more people.
